J. Patrick O’Grady

J. Patrick O'Grady is the Chief Financial Officer at Morgan Properties. Mr. O’Grady oversees accounting, budgetary, treasury, compliance, and financial due diligence and is responsible for the development of corporate accounting policies and procedures, IT, human resources, and the implementation of financial controls and reporting. He has streamlined the company’s accounting operations, expanded financial analysis and reporting capabilities, and enhanced quality financial controls.

Prior to joining Morgan Properties in August of 2008, Mr. O'Grady served from July 2006 to June 2008 as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of GMH Communities Trust, a specialty housing company that focused on providing housing to college and university students residing off-campus and to members of the U.S. military and their families. GMH Communities Trust merged with a publicly traded REIT listed on the NYSE in 2008 in a $1.8 billion transaction.

Prior to June 2006, Mr. O'Grady served as a partner with the accounting firm KPMG, LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP with 24 years of experience in the industry. He holds a B.S. in accounting from La Salle University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
